A Festive Gift From…The Silver Hut

Brighton, craft, Fairy Tale, Fashion, Hand Crafted, Jewellery1 commentNovember 16, 2012FTFadmin

Today we speak to Chloe from The Silver Hut. Chloe took part in our last fair and makes beautiful and precious silver and gemstone jewellery. She has been busy making lots of new festive creations and some fairy themed items which will be perfect for the fair! Find out more…

Tell us a bit about you and what you make

Hello to all!
My name is Chloe Snuggs and I am owner and resident designer of The Silver Hut.
I make 925 and Tibetan silver, gemstone jewelry.

The Silver Hut is Brighton based and I love to use inspiration from the famous beaches we have here. My main collection is ‘The Sea Life Collection’ which incorporates beautiful blue, green and frothy white coloured gemstone’s and stunning 925 silver sea shells, to create some beautiful, artistic jewelry.

I also have a ‘Fairy Tale Collection’ which was inspired by our very own Fairy Tale Fair! I launched the collection for the last fair back in August and have now added some new designs ready for Christmas. This collection has some beautiful little 925 silver fairies, mermaids, frog princes, castles, cauldrons and more all set against gorgeous, natural gemstone’s.

What festive creations will you be selling at The Fairy Tale fair?

There will be a range of Christmassy themed jewelry that is great for gifts and stocking fillers, including beaded, Christmas charm bracelets, red and green Swarovski crystal earrings and bracelets and some novelty Christmas earrings and pendant sets.
The Silver Hut has an extensive ‘Occasion Wear’ collection which is perfect for all special engagements, all year round, so grab something sparkly for all those up coming parties!
And of course there will be plenty of Fairies!

You took part in the last Fairy Tale Fair, did you enjoy it and did you find your creations popular with visitors?
I thought that the last fair was brilliant!
The decor was fantastic with beautiful pompoms, fairy lights and some lovely stalls all selling gorgeous items. The cakes in tea shop were some of the best cakes I’ve ever seen, they were pieces of art on their own. There was a lovely vibe in the room from customers and stall holders! I think all the visitors appreciated the hard work that went in to this fair and they definitely loved all my new fairy tale creations!

Will you be taking part in any other events over the Christmas period?
Yes, The Silver Hut has another 5 events currently booked in the run up to Christmas, including Brighton Craft fair held at The Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton. The Brunswick Craft fair which is a new fair run by The Brighton Craft Alliance held in ‘The Brunswick’ Public House, Holland road, Hove. I like this fair as you can have a lovely Sunday roast and enjoy a calm relaxed afternoon in the craft fair! And also I will be back at the Makers Boutique just before Christmas day!
Busy, busy, busy!

Everyone needs at least one piece of Chloe’s fab jewellery. I must admit that I have quite a few from her Sea Life collection and they always attract admiring comments…
