Mosaic Mad

Lovingly created in my Sussex studio incorporating one-off glass and ceramics, jewellery, & original objects into vibrant mixed media art, full of colour, texture and detail!

My mosaic work is all about colour, texture and spreading a feeling of happiness and joy. Each piece is unique incorporating handmade glass, china and ceramics and other decorative objects in a vast range of colours and forms that highlight their textural qualities for mixed media work.

Nearly all my inspiration comes from the natural world in all its glorious colourful and organic forms; further inspiration comes from mystical and fantasy creatures in their whimsical shapes and forms, as well as from gorgeous, rich colours themselves.

I find it exciting to work in various styles, loving the timeless beauty of vintage china recycled into decorations, as well as creating modern fresh, vibrant and quirky decorations on themes such as seaside, birds, birdhouses and gardens, making every piece totally unique and enchanting in its own right.

I love freely expressing my creativity, attention to detail, and especially creating something essentially soft, tactile and flowing out of a hard medium such as glass or ceramics. I am always delighted to see people touching my mosaics, which shows they are very tactile, also sturdy and long-lasting with their glass and ceramic qualities.

My work is heartfelt and reflects my passion for tactile, vibrant mosaics influenced by growing up in the Tropics, travelling extensively, and now evolved into a love for English gardens & wildlife since moving to Sussex.
