Makers Monday: Meet Helpmeorganics

Makers MondayNo commentsNovember 7, 2021Claire

Today we meet a new addition to The Fairy Tale Fair family – Linda of Helpmeorganics. Find out more about her and her relaxing essential oil products…

Please introduce yourself and your brand….

Hi, I’m Linda from Helpmeorganics.

From an early age I have been interested in the environment, nature and our beautiful wildlife. So it was no surprise that Helpmeorganics had to be an ethical company where the focus is for using packaging that can be reused and recycled and natural ingredients for our products. We all know that too much waste ends up in landfill. Plastic takes hundreds of years to break down causing toxins to leach out into the soil, never mind the pollution during manufacture. The best remedy for this is to use materials that can be reused or added to your compost bin.

It can be done.

By using cardboard that has been made from recycled paper, packaging made from recycled paper that is compostable and packaging tape that can stay on the cardboard box when it is finally recycled, or reused to line the veg beds!

Simple measures will ensure that we send minimal rubbish to landfill, that has to be good for our carbon emissions. How wonderful, that during “lockdown”, the air quality improved so much that you could see the stars easier, the sky was bluer and the hole in the artic ozone layer had begun to close. This was due to a reduction in air pollution.

We use UK suppliers only that have the same ethics as us but also to support the UK economy. We are an organic company, it is important that we use ingredients grown with no impact on the soil, insects, wildlife and wild spaces.

Our recipes have been developed over the last 27 years in our therapy salon, we wanted to make it easy for our customers to continue the therapy at home and to discover the many benefits of using organic aromatherapy.

How would you describe your style and your products?

Each product in our collection has been designed and created by ourselves in our workshop in Cheshire. Essential oils are our passion so each blend is therapeutic, smells lovely, and, hopefully, will make you feel good, sleep better, be less achy and feel less anxious.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

My favourite day is spent in the workshop making all of our products. The scent wafts around the workshop relaxing me. I do love putting together the gifts too as I love the thought that they will make someone feel happy. I love product development too, its fun playing with different ingredients!

Do you have a best seller or favourite to make?

I think our “mindful of calm” blend is probably our best seller as at the moment, too many people are struggling with anxiety and mental health issues due to the pandemic but also life, in general, has become too fast.

What are your plans or ambitions for the future?

We have a new product launching in 2022, I can’t tell you what it is just now but it’s a brand-new product. We have also launched a professional range for therapists to use within their therapy businesses and salons. As a Holistic therapist myself, I know how important it is to use premium quality organic massage oils in my massage therapies. After all, the recipes have been honed over the past 27 years of therapy.

Do you have a motto or favourite quote for inspiration?

There are so many wonderful inspirational quotes but I love a saying by Sir David Attenborough

“People must feel that the natural world is important and valuable and beautiful and an amazement and a pleasure”

How can we find out more about you?

We have a website featuring our shop, an “about us” page and each month we write a blog where we discuss how to make the most of the month ahead, days of awareness, things we should remember and celebrate. It’s a great way to keep up to date with our latest news, fairs, and new products. Each month we have a closer look at one of our scent blends. We write monthly emails with exclusive offers, simply sign up from our website.
