Today we look forward to welcoming back EcoOctopus, who joins us again at Worthing Charmandean on Sunday 1st December.
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Welcome to EcoOctopus, home to award winning eco conscious jewellery and recycled textiles.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Passionate about the planet, I use lots of recycled materials including copper stripped from waste electrical cables, seaweed, home grown flowers, recycled silver, sea glass, old tin cans and vintage fabrics.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I absolutely love roaming around the beach looking for beautiful pieces of seaweed and sea glass to use in my jewellery. But likewise, I gain inspiration whilst walking in the Sussex woodlands. The energy of our natural environment encourages creativity and keeps the passion for my work flowing.
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas on Sunday 1st December at Worthing Charmandean? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I will be bringing lots and lots of eco conscious jewellery – the main focus of my stall. But I will also bring a wide range of recycled Christmas cards and recycled textiles. Firm Fairytale favourites!
Do you have a best seller?
People love the eco conscious vibe and.. there are a lot of different products to choose from. I don’t have a specific best seller, but my sea glass angel necklaces are a sure-fire winner at Christmas 🙂
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I am forever expanding my product range and coming up with new ideas. I recently introduced new pieces (earrings and pendants) made from old gin bottles and off-cuts of Sussex clay. I am excited to see how this work transforms over the coming months.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
I believe that we need to make conscientious choices whilst shopping and my aim is to offer alternatives that are kinder to the planet. “We need to work with nature, not against it”. David Attenborough:
