This evening we bring you a splash of colour and fun courtesy of Isola B, new to our fair – we look forward to welcoming Amelia this Sunday at Worthing Charmandean. Find out more ahead of the day…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
My name is Amelia and my brand is Isola B. I’ve always been obsessed with fabrics and print. I’m interested in strong, visual images like vintage tattoos and religious iconography as well as pop culture. I use applique to make fun and funky bags, cushions and everyday items with a twist! I started off many moons as an illustrator with a strong interest in fashion and textiles… I guess now I’m combining the two!
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Studio 54 meets Barbara Cartland!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I just love the creative journey and hiding away in my studio to sew, surrounded with lovey fabrics and a bit of sparkle!
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas on Sunday 4th December at Worthing Charmandean? And are you looking forward to taking part?
On my stand you will find appliqued and embroidered berets, velvet and faux leather cross body bags, makeup bags, purses and clutches appliqued with my signature designs… including glitter lightning bolts, sacred hearts, glitter love bombs and some new shooting star designs.
Do you have a best seller?
My fun and funky appliqued berets always do well, as do my new festive hand sewn tree decorations!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I’d like to relax a bit more… but that doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon! Work wise I’d like to add some new designs to my shop and work on organising my sewing room! It’s glitter chaos!
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
Kiss the joy as it flies- William Blake
Describe your Christmas in 3 words…
Maximalist, busy, inclusive.
