Please introduce yourself and your brand:
Hi, I’m Caroline and I started Ivy Grace (named after my daughter) in 2021 after turning my hobby into my business. After working as a nurse in the NHS for over 10 years I now design and hand make delicate pearl and gemstone jewellery from my home in West Sussex where I live with my husband and two children.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I adore colour and combine a variety of gemstones and freshwater pearls to create delicate jewellery that is elegant and unique. I love to layer my jewellery and so aim to create pieces that can be worn alone or worn with your existing collection. I love it when one of my creations is added to an existing bracelet stack! I use a combination of 18ct gold vermeil, 14ct gold-filled and sterling silver and am always open to making custom orders.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love the creative side of my work and find inspiration for new designs from lots of different places and people. I find the making process really relaxing and love the intricacy of creating delicate pieces (something my husband can never understand!). I also love that my work now has flexibilty and that I can be at home with my two small children.
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas on Sunday 3rd December at Worthing Charmandean? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’m really excited to be taking part for the first time with The Fairy Tale Fair and can’t wait to meet everyone there. I will have a range of necklaces, bracelets and earrings in beautiful coloured gemstones and pearls. I will also be offering a personalisation service so you can leave with a personalised gift for someone special or a treat for yourself on the day.
Do you have a best seller?
The personalised necklaces are always popular as they make a lovely gift. Each market I do is always different though and I love to see what is most popular on the day.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I would love to build a website soon and am looking forward to gradually increasing my collection.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
I can be a bit of an over thinker and sometimes doubt myself so I often think of the saying ‘The only thing holding you back is you’. It reminds me that if you want something then you just need to get out and give it a go!
Describe your Christmas in 3 words: Family, love, sparkle.
