Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi there, I’m Ali AKA Metal Dove, a nature inspired eco friendly jewellery brand. It’s a place where a love of animals and nature meets geometry and does a little dance!
How would you describe your style and your creations?
There are 2 main Collections at Metal Dove, my fun animal silhouettes in brass as necklaces and brooches and my botanical collection of recycled silver jewellery made from real botanical moulds. This is the year that I’ve discovered Metal Clay and it’s been a revelation! The detail in the moulds I can make is incredible and the fact its fine recycled silver is all the better for the environment. I think as makers we all have a responsibility to be more eco conscious in our making.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
New designs and the moment in metal clay when you’ve fired a piece and brush off the work to reveal the final design, it’s a moment of pure magic, if you’ve never had a go, I can’t recommend it enough!
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas on Sunday 4th December at Worthing Charmandean? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I can’t wait to take part, this is my first Worthing Christmas market and you lot are such a friendly bunch! Affordability is key this year, so I have a huge selection of botanical and animal Christmas tree decorations…. from T-Rex’s to gingerbread men. I also have a mammoth amount of new stock in my botanical range, but smaller more delicate and affordable leaf necklaces so please come and say hi!
Do you have a best seller?
My Seagull’s and whales are really popular at the moment but in general there is an awesome buzz around my stall at Christmas time.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I really want to start running some Metal Clay botanical workshops and teach my love of metal clay so please follow me on Instagram for details of Spring classes. I will also be experimenting with copper and bronze metal clay, so it’ll be a big year for Metal Dove next year.

Only buy things that make you want to do a little dance
