Quirky mixed media that makes a statement, handmade in Cornwall.
I create unique and unusual one-of-a-kind mixed media and found object jewellery & accessories and Christmas decorations, from my home studio. My work is quirky and makes a statement too. I am inspired by Art history, historical places, nature and the natural world (and the environment!) and the Cornish landscape too. All sorts of materials can be combined in my work, like craft supplies, embossing crystals, resin, paper, image transfer techniques, cord, yarn and fabric as well as beach plastic washed up on the beach. I create a wide range of jewellery from rings, stud and dangle earrings, pendants, necklaces, hair accessories and bracelets as well as bespoke Christmas decorations and other home décor ornaments for different seasons!
My jewellery really is quirky and different to anyone else’s I have seen, which is my USP! I try to use the best quality jewellery materials in all my work – I always use hypoallergenic ear wires and ear studs which are made of surgical steel, excellent for those with sensitive skin. All of the metals I use in chains and ring findings are nickel and lead free too. My most popular collection is inspired by the wonderful designs of William Morris – using cotton printed fabric and making my own self-cover buttons, these include: Large and small pendants, rings, earrings, hair grips and cufflinks.
