Tiny cakes and treats, good enough to eat!
I started sculpting with polymer clay as a child in the 80s. I made my sister a replica of The Body Shop for her Sylvanian Families and I also made earrings which no one bought at the school fair. I started crafting again 15 years later. I would make clay canes in the evenings after working during the day. Then my neighbour asked me to make some little cakes for her daughter’s dolls house and I got hooked on sculpting miniature food.
I am constantly trying to work out how to make something look realistic in miniature and I whenever I go to cafes I always study the cakes (before eating them). A lot of thought goes into the intricate texturing and colouring of my items.
I am based in St Leonards on Sea, in the UK. As well as selling my jewellery and miniatures I run children’s workshops.
