Today we welcome Button Box Blooms who joins us for the first time this Saturday 19th November at Patcham Methodist in our workshop room. Find out more about her, the workshops and needle felted friends…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi, I’m Eleanor, and when I’m not working as an online writer or getting crafty with my four year old I love to create decorations. My brand Button Box Blooms grew out of my love of buttons, and has expanded to include creations made from wool roving and felt too. I use my colourful stash to make characterful ornaments, personalised stockings and button bouquets.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I’m inspired by my daughter’s love of cute creatures and characters, so I try to capture the magic of childhood in my creations. I lean towards the whimsical and wonderful, creating a cast of festive decorations to hang on the tree or arrange in a Christmas scene.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love seeing how each finished piece is unique. For me, the beauty of handmade work lies in the individuality of every creation. Plus they look sweet lined up on my shelves waiting for the festive season to begin!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Patcham on Saturday 19th November? And are you looking forward to taking part?
As I live in Patcham, I’m very excited to be taking part in my first ever Fairy Tale Fair in my local area. I’ll be in the workshop room with my handmade felt stockings and hanging Christmas tree decorations ready to be personalised. They’ll be available in packs to take away and decorate at home too.
I’ll also have a selection of needle felted penguins, robins, angels, Christmas puddings, trees, Santas and snowmen for sale, plus my button Father Christmas, snowman and Christmas tree decorations too. My needle felted nativity set will be on display, available to order with free local delivery.
Do you have a best seller?
My needle felted Christmas puddings were my biggest hit at the mini Christmas market I took part in last year. My multi-buy deals also proved popular, and I’ll be offering even more savings on sets this year.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I’m looking forward to taking part in more craft fairs throughout the year, and expanding my range to include Valentine’s, Mother’s Day and Easter gifts and decorations. I’m also excited to see my button bouquets being held by brides on their special day.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
Do what you love and love what you do.
What part of Christmas do you enjoy the most?
The lead up to Christmas is so magical, especially since my daughter enjoys it so much, and decorating the tree is like the launchpad that kicks off all the fun.
How can we find out more about you?
