Today we welcome back Emilia Hunt who joins us next week at The Fairy Tale Fair Patcham on Saturday November 16th…
Please introduce yourself and your brand…
I am Emilia from Emilia Hunt and hand draw my designs and have them printed onto fabrics and stationery. I then make all of the items alongside my small team of sewers.
My bright, bespoke and quality cotton products are for the home and garden and are also moving onto a range of products to be taken out of the home.
My designs are inspired from the natural world around me and I currently have ‘Fruits and Vegetables’ and ‘Botanical’ collections which is constantly growing.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I would describe my style as bright, bold and unique. Ranging from classic colour combinations to the extravagant and exciting!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
People reactions to my new designs. There’s nothing better than after drawing a design on my own, to me showing it at a fair and people’s eyes filling with joy! I always listen to recommendations and if I like the thought, it becomes a design!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Christmas Special at Patcham on November 16th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
You can expect to find a range of kitchenware including tea towels, table runners, line tote bags, coin purses, aga covers, napkins, double oven gloves, single mitts and aprons for both adults and children. I will have my fabric book for fabric meterage orders too. You can also expect greetings cards, velvet lampshades made to order, and my new product…glossy round coasters and my new fig design!
Do you have a best seller?
At this time of year my bestseller is ALWAYS my sprout design! I’ve just had more fabric printed and I have all products back in stock ready for the fair. They really are a love or hate vegetable, but they always get a laugh!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I have a range of products on the horizon focusing on babies and children and a range of new designs ready for the new year!
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
I always live by this message as I have Cystic Fibrosis.
Always enjoy the little things in life as you never know when it will end.
I feel the quote ‘live every day as if it’s your last’ adds too much pressure to people. Acknowledging the good things and enjoying life for what it is works well enough and roll with the punches life gives you. It works for me!
Describe your Christmas in 3 words…
Family, Cosy, Togetherness
