Please introduce yourself and your brand…..
I’m Georgie and I love to create richly embroidered and embellished textiles. I work to commission making framed textiles, hangings, accessories and gifts. I also produce bespoke bridal tiaras & headpieces, stationery and accessories. A few times a year I take smaller gifts, cards and treats to magical events like yours. It will be great to be back at the Fairytale Fair again. It always makes me feel so Christmassy!
Tell us a bit about your creations and how you make them….
I’d like to say there’s magic involved, but actually it’s hours of stitching, beading and embellishing on some days, thinking, sketching, dyes, paints and experiments on others. Lots of hard but interesting work and often surprises when things pleasantly work out with unexpected but great results.
How long have you been making your creations?
For as long as I can remember really. I’ve always stitched and crafted, originally being a hand stitcher, but now I’m in love with my sewing machine and like to work in mixed media.
Do you have a best seller or most popular item?
My cards are flying out at the moment, but each event, time of year and venue seems to bring its own favourites. I like to vary my stock as I would get bored always making the same things.
What do you enjoy most about your craft/ work?
Everything really. It is so varied that no matter my mood I can always get on with something. Perhaps the best part is when I’m able to make someone’s day with a special gift designed just for them.
Will you be selling some festive themed creations at The Fairy Tale Fair?
I always have a few new lines, festive themed notebooks and cards for the season and there will be pretty evening bags for those big nights out along with lots of affordable gifts and stocking fillers.
What are your plans or ambitions for the future, or have you already achieved them?
To be able to keep delivering the goods!!!
Describe what Christmas means to you in 5 words or less!
Family, hope, peace, happiness, chocolate!
