Today we welcome The Handmade Lighting Company who will join us at Brighton Open Market this Sunday. Find out more…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
I’m Danny from the Handmade Lighting Company
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I make lights from jars and bottles using beautiful Edison Light Bulbs. The light created from my jars is soft and has a glow of sunlight.. sunlight in a Jar!!! I would describe my style as eclectic and modern. My lights are perfect as gifts or those seeking to add a modern twist to their home, they can be hung, wall mounted, or the jars are perfect for a table/floor decoration.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I’ve always enjoyed making things and have a passion for lighting and interiors. I think the British people in general have a strange concept of how to light a home so have always been on a mission to show that there is a different way other than awful ceiling spots and overhead pendant bulbs. Taking a simple concept of using low wattage lightbulbs and re-purposed glass, lighting is becoming a thing of beauty rather than just a necessity.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Brighton on December 11th at Brighton Open Market? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I love meeting new people and the Fairy Tale Fair has always been a delight to attend! I’ll be selling my Jar and Bottle Lights, some Wire Framed Daisy Lights and various other bits and bobs!
Do you have a best seller?
The Jar Lights always go down a storm!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
Unfortunately this may be the last chance to buy my lights!! I’m going on to new ventures so there will be a limited amount left.
What part of Christmas do you enjoy the most?
Of course… The Lights!!
How can we find out more about you?
