Today we welcome back the talented Jen Moules. We love her wildlife themed illustrations and creations and are sure you will too. You’ll find her selling at our Patcham fair on Saturday March 14th. Read on to find out all about her…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hello! I’m Jen Moules an illustrator, surface pattern designer and the founder of Jen Moules Designs.
Jen Moules Designs’ main specialty is textiles and offers a range of textile home wares and accessories. We also produce everything from greeting cards to earrings, artwork to mugs!
All our products are truly unique using my own original illustrations and patterns to create our products and are all proudly sewn and produced in Britain.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I think my style is quite off beat and there is definitely an organic feel to my drawings and designs. I usually focus on vintage inspired colour combinations to team with my original designs to offer the customer something unique that they may not find anywhere else.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I LOVE to draw. I am never happier then when I can spend the day sketching fresh ideas or building new patterns. The sewing side of things can feel like a bit of a slog at times but it’s always so satisfying to see the finished product.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Brighton this Spring? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’ve been a stall holder at a few Fairy Tale Fairs now and have loved each one. There’s always a great mix of makers and lovely customers.
This Fair I will be showcasing some of my new textile designs. My new collection is very bright and fun – perfect for the Spring/Summer. This will be the first time I’ve shown them and excited to see the reaction.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
Last year was a relatively quiet one for me so I’m hoping to do a lot more shows this year and I’m also holding my very first workshop too! I’m still ironing out the details but am very excited about this new venture.
Describe what Easter is to you in 10 words or less:
Daffodils, roast lamb, family and long walks.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
Don’t be afraid to fail – you live and learn!

I’m currently having a website revamp and will be unveiling my new blog very soon. It’s going to be full of lots of designer loveliness and my favourite feature ‘Maker of the Month’ which will include some Fairy Tale Fair regulars. Watch this space!
