Poplar Gifts is a mother and daughter team from Hove. One Knits, One Crochets!
How would you describe your style and your creations?
We create traditional and modern gifts using Knitting and Crochet in wool, acrylic and cotton. Our favourite creations are the ones that children love to see; colourful, cute, and unique. We try to appeal to all tastes, gender and age.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Nothing makes us happier than a child standing in front of the stall with eyes wide open with wonder.
All the characters have names and we encourage the children to ‘touch’!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special in aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17th March? And are you looking forward to taking part?
We have some new characters making their debut. Teletubbies, Davey Dog, Uma Unicorn, and Chloe Caterpillar! We are also busy making Chocolate Orange covers as Bunnies and Chickens! There will be Crochet Easter Baskets and an array of gifts.
Its our first event of the year and we are really looking forward to it.
Do you have a best seller?
Our Chocolate Orange covers are always very popular but the current number one seller is Jimmy Jelly Fish, closely followed by Tinsel Owl, with previous leader Katie Koala remaining in the top three.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
We are always looking for new patterns and ideas, but what we really long for is time to create and write our own patterns.

Handmade gifts for all occasions and ages. Different, personal and unique
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
Easter is the real sign of Spring and all the positivity that brings.
