Today we introduce you to another Fairy Tale Fair newbie! Four Little Walls and her wonderful dolls house creations. They may be small but they are super cute, and fit our fairy tale theme perfectly! Find out more…
“I love hearing how customers are planning to use their miniatures, there are some very imaginative collectors about!” – Kat, Four Little Walls.
Tell us a bit about you and what you do/ make….
I’m Kat, owner of Four Little Walls. I basically play with doll’s houses for a living! I currently stock a range of hand-painted and hand-made furniture and accessories for the mini home as well as small, bespoke houses, hand built with my Dad. (He’s a carpenter which comes in handy!)
How would you describe your style?
Eclectic. I like to have a little bit of everything in my mini rooms!
How long have you been making your craft items?
For myself, over 10 years, the blog has just had its first birthday that’s where I like to try out ideas and see what people think.
Do you have a best seller? If so what is it?
50 Shades of Grey! Seems there’s a saucy side to doll’s houses!
Second to that the mini pumpkins always go down well.
What do you enjoy most about your craft?
Planning new rooms and themes for the blog and shop is always fun, and I love hearing how customers are planning to use their miniatures, there are some very imaginative collectors about!
Do you take part in other craft events (fairs, open houses, markets etc…)?
I sell at craft fairs in Kent and the South East throughout the year as well as specialist doll’s house events.
What items and Mother’s day/ Easter gifts will you be selling at The Fairy Tale Fair?
I’ll be showing a collection of hand finished furniture and accessories. Including the exclusive ‘Distress Yourself’ items. Wooden furniture hand painted with lashings of chalk paint in pretty pastel shades, ready for you to sand and distress to a shabby chic effect. Sandpaper and ‘Distress management’ tips included. You’ll also be able to pick up your hand made mini Easter eggs, calorie free of course!
What are your plans/ ambitions for the future? Or have you already achieved them?
For 2013 I’ll be continuing to grow the range of furniture and accessories as well as working on some new, bespoke houses with Dad. I’d also love to do a pop-up shop, that’d be great fun!
Any other comments you wish to make:
Due to the tiny nature of the items, Four Little Walls products are not suitable for young children as they are a choking hazard.
(We are introducing a ready-made range of items for 3 years and up this Spring)
