We last met Georgie Arts at our Christmas Fairy Tale Fair, and we are lucky enough to have them back again. Find out more about her and her beautiful whimsical embroidered creations…
“What can be better than stitching, beading and embellishing all day and then sending your creations off to make someone’s day?”- Tina, Georgie Arts
Remind us a bit about you and what you do/ make….
Georgie Arts makes all things embroidered and embellished; occasion bags, notebooks, cards and scrumptious little gifts.
Do you have a best seller? If so what is it?
It varies by season. Currently the wedding season is hotting up and so occasion bags for bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride are hot, but always, cards and notebooks are favourites.
What do you enjoy most about your craft?
What can be better than stitching, beading and embellishing all day and then sending your creations off to make someone’s day?
Do you take part in other craft events (fairs, open houses, markets etc…)?
Sometimes. Our treasures take a long time to make so we don’t attend many fairs. This spring we will be at Brighton Craft Fair at the Friends Centre on March 30th and we are also taking our Bridals collection of tiaras, head pieces, bags and favours to Belles Bridal Bazaar in New Road in April.
What items and Mother’s day/ Easter gifts will you be selling at The Fairy Tale Fair?
We will have some beautiful embroidered Mother’s Day cards and our little fairy pomanders, heart keychains and notebooks make great gifts for Mothers. If you are trying to keep down your chocolate consumption, all our goodies will make great Easter gifts. Our bee and front notebooks have more than a hint of spring. We’ll also bring our Fairytale Fair special ‘Toadstool sitter’ and ‘Once Upon a time’ cards.
You took part in the last Fairy Tale Fair, did you enjoy it?
We loved every minute. It was very busy and lovely and Christmassy. It was great to meet up with the other friendly stall holders and all our customers.
What are your plans/ ambitions for the future? Or have you already achieved them?
This year, in partnership with The Silver Hut, Georgie bridals is launching co-ordinated collections and that is keeping us both busy. Between us we hope soon to have the whole world beaded and embellished! A bit ambitious perhaps, but Brighton at least.
Any other comments you wish to make:
We are so excited to be coming back to this great fair.
