In the first of our meet the maker blog interviews ahead of our Worthing Easter fair on Sunday 3rd April at Worthing Charmandean, we chat to Fairy Tale Fair regular – the talented Lauren’s Art…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
HI! I’m Lauren from Lauren’s Art. I’m an Artist and Illustrator.
I draw intricate cityscapes of places I’ve been lucky enough to visit. These include Worthing, Brighton, Shoreham-By-Sea, London and more. I then turn these designs into prints or gifts.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
My style is maxmilalist. I try to fit everything into each artwork!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I really enjoy seeing an artwork come together at the end of the creative journey. I also love seeing people at events (such as The Fairy Tale Fair) recognise places within my art.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special on Sunday 3rd April at Worthing Charmandean? And are you looking forward to taking part?
We can’t wait to take part in the Easter Special in Worthing. Not only is it one of our favourite events, but we have the launch of our newest Worthing artwork ‘A walk around Worthing’ which features so many of Worthing’s best bits. We can’t wait to share it with you!
Do you have a best seller?
Our coasters and make-up bags always make nice gifts.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
Our ambition is to draw every place in the World! …we are getting there, very slowly.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
To my mind a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful and pretty. There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is, without creating still more of them.
― Pierre-Auguste Renoir
Describe your Easter in 3 words…
Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!
