A big welcome to Lilypea & Olive who you can meet for the first time at our Worthing Charmandean Easter fair on Saturday 17th March. Find out more about her…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi I’m Diane from Lilypea & Olive.
I make magical creations to adorn the home, hair and walls.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Colourful, imaginative and magical. I like to match the fabric print with the item I’m creating – strawberry print for a strawberry bag or a camping themed fabric for a mini sleeping bag. Something light hearted, fun to make and filling the world with a bit more colour!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love the colours and fabrics I work with, particularly felt as it’s a very forgiving medium. I love seeing the finished product and someone buying something you’ve made is pretty special.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special in aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17th March? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I can’t wait. I’ve done a few fairs now and think the Fairy Tale Fair will be a perfect match for the items I make and sell, I’m really looking forward to it.
I’ll be bringing fairy wands, sugar skulls, magical forest mushrooms, sleepy sloth mobiles, flower garlands, strawberry tie bags, felt flower hairbands and bows, butterfly wreaths, pigs in tutus and Easter rabbits – including bandit rabbits with a swag bag…you’ll have to come along to see what’s inside it!
Do you have a best seller?
My Christmas tree decorations have done particularly well and my sugar skull bunting.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
Yes to open up my Etsy shop, run some workshops and I’m learning Mandarin.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
Carpe Diem and another that’s too rude to print!
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
The Easter Egg hunt!
