I’m Noelle Vaughn, a vintage singer and Jazz Chanteuse specialising in jazz standards and vintage classics from the 1940’s – 1960’s. I also have my own vintage radio show on Ridge Radio, every Monday evening from 9-11pm on www.ridgeradio.co.uk.
Have you been singing for a long time?
Ever since I was little, but I remember being 7 or 8 when I started singing to vintage music.
What do you enjoy most about it?
It’s hard to put into words – I adore music and come from a very musical household. I grew up surrounded by it, so it’s part of my life and I enjoy singing because music is so moving. But I can honestly say that one of the things I enjoy most about it is the pleasure it gives others; that is so touching.
What are your plans/ ambitions for the future, or have you already achieved them?
So far, 2013 has been fantastic – I have performed at some amazing venues, met brilliant people along the way, and just released my album, Bewitched. I am looking forward to seeing what 2014 holds!
Are you looking forward to singing at The Fairy Tale Fair on Saturday?
Very much so, and so are many others who have said they’ll be coming along! The tea room sounds lovely!
