Today we welcome another fair newbie who we are excited to introduce! Meet Posy & Pearls in person on Sunday 6th December at our Worthing fair.
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
posy&pearls and Freds Finery’s designs are influenced by my favourite childhood dresses and the dreamy magical memories of childhood movies, think Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins to name just a few.
With a BA honours in fashion and design and a successful career in Buying for major fashion brands, the arrival of my children encouraged me to use my skills to launch my own business, creating nostalgic traditional garments.
It is a joy to now be designing and making my own beautiful collections with my family at the heart of the business.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
posy&pearls, truly scrumptious dresses are unique, using beautiful fabrics and hand-picked vintage lace trims and buttons. Each dress is lovingly handmade one at a time in West Sussex with every thoughtful detail made to capture the imagination of little girls and the young at heart!
Freds Finery’s waistcoats and bow tie’s having been created with traditional wools and tweeds and influenced by the nostalgic principles and chivalry regard of the English Gentleman.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The creative process of finding beautiful fabrics and trims and then designing and creating a garment is wonderful, but the most amazing part is seeing my handmade garments being worn and enjoyed x
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas Worthing on December 6th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
The posy&pearls and Fred’s Finery’s stall will be filled with traditional handmade dresses and waistcoats and some special seasonal stocking fillers such as soft warm scarves and fine bow ties.
I am very excited to be part of The Fairy Tale Fairy and look forward to meeting lots of wonderful likeminded and creative people.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
My ambition for posy&pearls and Fred’s Finey’s is that they grow with my children, and continue to be successful!
