Today we are pleased to introduce Renata of Renush who we can’t wait to welcome for the first time to The Fairy Tale Fair at Worthing Charmandean on Sunday 3rd April...

Please introduce yourself and your brand….

Hello, I am Renata the designer and maker of the brand. I am based in Hove and work form my home studio. I am originally from Hungary.

All my items are hand made with high quality vegetable tanned leather which is free from chemicals and chrome. I am passionate about sustainability. Creating my leather pieces there is always offcuts, I use every bit of the leather hide. By using recycled leather salvaged from the offcuts from my other designs I am giving new life to the material that would otherwise be not used. During my college years I became interested in the traditional technique of moulding, which in combination with vegetable tan leather provides endless possibilities for manipulating and sculpting the hide into different shapes. I am a graduate of London College of Fashion in footwear and accessories design and product development.
Renush contains moulded vegetable-tanned leather corset belts, jewellery, handbags, cable tidies, dog and cat accessories, custom made guitar leather straps offcut recycled leather earrings and cards.

How would you describe your style and your creations?

The main theme in my work is the combination of ancient techniques with modern, usable design. I always design and make pieces which I would wear or use myself.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The most rewarding aspect of my work is to meet my customers and get positive feed back from them about my pieces which makes me strive to be even more creative.
Being an independent artist allows me to create and experiment in my studio any time of the day.

What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special on Sunday 3rd April at Worthing Charmandean? And are you looking forward to taking part?

Very exited to take part. I will be selling small tech accessories, off-cut leather earrings, leather cuffs, wallets, handbags, and Dog collars.

Do you have a bestseller?

Best sellers are always depending on the season. My all-year bestseller is my 3rd year leather anniversary card. You can personalise the leather heart with initials and the special date in your life. Heart is detachable and can be used as a keyring or a charm.
