We’ve an array of craft workshops lined up for you in our craft room on Saturday March 5th at Patcham Methodist Church.
With Mother’s Day on the 6th and Easter on the way it is the perfect opportunity to make one off gifts yourself. Here is a selection of what’s on offer…
Feathered Friends’ Feltmaking workshop!
This Spring join Karen Rao Felt Artist in a ‘Feathered Friends’ Feltmaking workshop! We’ll be creating our very own work of art using just wool, soap, water and this time – feathers!
Karen will be guiding you through the ancient wet felting process of laying down soft Merino Wool, then with a little rubbing and rolling and a dash of elbow grease, your pile of wool will transform into a hand felted picture. Not only do you take your piece of art home, but you take with you a new skill too!

Don’t forget to take a peek at Karen’s hand felted animal hats including the Easter bunny and the Mad March Hare! These are created in the stunningly tactile medium of felt, carefully blending different wools and animal fibres resulting in highly realistic colours and textures of our animal friends. These are wet felted by the same method that Karen will be showing in my workshops.
Polymer Clay Charm Workshop
Join Caroline to make a super cute piece of jewellery or charm with polymer clay. There will be plenty of charms to decorate including bunnies and butterflies, perfect for Easter and Mother’s Day presents! There will also be lots of Tiny Treats Boutique goodies plus Letterbox Kits in stock for Easter crafts.
Bead Bracelet Workshop
Show Me Shiny Things will be back making memory wire bracelets in the workshop room. These could be a great handmade present for mothers day. We’ve got plenty of beads to choose from, & adults and children have enjoyed designing and making bracelets at previous fairs! Looking forward to seeing you there!
Card Making Workshop
Join Cat-a-Cake Creations in their Easter and Mother’s Day card making workshop. They’ll have a range of themed materials to make your card with including pom poms, stickers, feathers, gems, pens, pencils, felt shapes, glitter, buttons, ribbons, hearts and lots more. £2 a card with envelope and little Easter chick!
Create a Memory Collage
To get started… You will need your cards or photos to use in the collage. Roughly cut out the pretty pictures, sentimental words and messages. First lay the personal message cut-outs onto the template. Then place the pretty bits over the joins and get sticking. Your finished collage can be mounted in a frame for an extra special gift – great for Mother’s Day.
Hair Braiding
Pixie Wraps will be providing hair braiding throughout the day priced between £3 – £6 and great for adding a little colour and fun to your hair!
