We have just about recovered from the madness that was Children’s Day at Brighton Open Market yesterday. Crowds of you gathered at the market for our Under the Sea themed day which included a free craft station, a treasure hunt, prize draws, bouncy castle, face painting, workshops, soft play and more!
We also had 100 free goodybags (bags provided by Kallikids) to give away to the first lucky 100 children containing a selection of goodies including books, art stampers or handmade items.
10 of our stall holders we also with us selling their lovely handmade creations – which all were very popular.
We didn’t stop all day, with queues for all activities until the very end. Thanks to everyone for their patience in waiting! The day was designed to give local families a cheap/ free day out, undercover in Brighton for the holidays. Lots of kids were full of joy and very pleased with their makes, buys, painted faces, and chocolate coin treasure.
A big thank you to our talented stall holders, Face the Paint face painting, our workshoppers, and Lucy from Candyfloss and Bowties Photography for the wonderful photos of the day which you see here.
You can see the full album over on facebook here.
Well done on all your craft makes and costumes. Here are the winners…
Best make went to this colourful sparkly sea creature! Well done on all your lovely makes, the market will be covered in glitter for weeks now!
Best dressed boy went to this unusual and outstanding handmade creation. It’s a lioplurodon sea creature!
Best dressed Girl went jointly to these two with their handmade creative costumes! Apparently they were up major early today finishing them before setting off on a 2 hour drive to our fair! We were impressed with the dedication there!
Don’t forget to join us back at the market in 3 weeks time on Saturday August 15th for our craft fair. We’ll also have Brighton Lindyhoppers performing. Join our event here.
