Remind us about you and what you create?
My love of the twenties fashion and culture first inspired me to make the original Polite Friends Rings. Since then my inspiration comes from many different fashion eras and I’m always working on expanding the collection. I also make a Sugar Violet range, specifically designed with children in mind.
Will you be selling some special festive creations?
For the first time I have a Christmas range which includes a Santa bell necklace, Lucky Angel bracelet, Snowman hairclips and Tree decorations.
Will you be taking part in any other fairs over the Christmas period?
Yes, there are quite a few gems: Pop-Up Vintage Fair, Johnny Loves June Vintage Fair and Jesse Jumbles Marvelous Christmas Market.
You have previously taken part in The Fairy Tale Fair. Did you enjoy the day?
Yes, it was amazing and spectacular. So many talented people under one roof! It truly was magical, there was a great atmosphere with a creative workshop room, a tearoom and a clown making funny shaped bracelets out of balloons! I met some really lovely customers and stallholders, and even won a prize in the raffle.
What are your plans/ ambitions for the future? Or have you already achieved them?
I’d like Retro Violet to keep growing, last year I was just doing stalls but this year I also have a pop-up shop in Gorgeous Gerties, Dorking. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Next year I’m hoping to develop my online shop too.
