Today we look forward to catching up with Mel of A is for Alphabet. She will be back with us at Worthing on Sunday 9th April and we can’t wait for you to meet her and her bespoke box frames…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi, I’m Mel, a mum to two wonderful boys and creator at A is for Alphabet. I run my business around my children making bespoke box frames for all those special occasions in life. I’ve been creating wonderful keepsakes for nearly three years and still love every piece I create.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
My style has changed quite a lot since starting but I like to draw on trends for inspiration and obviously using what my children like as a good gauge of what is popular. I love using felt to create wonderful and unique pieces of artwork which can be used for years to come.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Being able to create something that I know will be put up in someones home for years is so lovely.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Worthing Charmandean on April 9th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’ve got a lovely selection of new frames I’ll be taking with me and some really cute Easter themed items including my personalised Easter Treat packs.
Do you have a best seller?
My best seller at the moment is the Elephant Balloon frame which currently comes in three colour choices. It’s a perfect present for a new baby and can be fully personalised with their name and date of birth.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I have recently started selling with notonthehighstreet.com ( under Alphabet Bespoke Creations) and I’m enjoying being a partner with all the opportunities available. I guess this year is all about developing my range and creating lots of lovely keepsake pieces.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
‘Dream Big Little One’ is a quote I’ve used on several of my frames. Its such a simple one but I love how empowering it is.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
Well its a total cliche but of course the chocolate!!!!
How can we find out more about you?
