Today we welcome Ann of The Little Kraken for the first time who joins us on Sunday 9th April in Worthing. We can’t wait to meet her and her screen-printed creations.
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi I’m Ann and I run The Little Kraken. I’m a mum to three grown-ups and one cutie, for whom I decided to become a stay at home mum and start my own business from my love of crafts and screen-printing.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I create bold illustrative designs for our products, which I then screen-print myself on to high quality fabrics. I then turn this unique fabric into gifts and home wares, including cushions, bunting, handy little cosmetic bags, tote bags and tea towels to name a few.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Screen-printing! I love the bold block colour prints that I can achieve using this process. And find the process of designing a print, going through the lengthy process of preparing and making a screen, and finally getting to see the design realised on fabric so satisfying!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Worthing Charmandean on April 9th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
A wide range of our products, from the good old favourite totes and cosmetic bags, to some new tea towel designs, and our new pocket mirrors.
Do you have a best seller?
Our whale designs are a big favourite! Originally designed as a throw pillow, we couldn’t resist printing it onto an extra large tote after we received a lot love for the whale and many requests to have it on a tote. They’ve since been a big hit both online and at markets.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
It’s got to be the chocolate!
