Please introduce yourself and your brand….

I’m Maxine Michaelides and my company is Lost and Foundry lighting. I make lighting out of found objects and vintage and retro finds. I also repair and rewire lighting.

How would you describe your style and your creations?

Eclectic, cheeky, fun, nostalgic, and peculiar. They appeal to lots of different types of people and always make them smile.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Being self employed and being about to create.

What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Worthing Charmandean on April 9th? And are you looking forward to taking part?

I will be bringing a range of lights. Animals, jars, vintage tin wall lights and lots more. And yes, I’m looking forward to taking part in The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Worthing Charmandean as I’ve heard only good things about The Fairy Tale Fairs.

Do you have a best seller?

Dog lights all the way :).

Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?

I most enjoy working with interior designers and contractors making lights for bars, restaurants and hotels etc so lots more of that. I am also developing an on-line shop THE STANLEY ROAD STORE so I’m looking for more talented makers to join our site.

Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?

Give it a go and follow your heart. If it doesn’t work just try approaching it from another angle. Life is about the journey.

What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?

Well this Easter will be spent in Devon having a weeks holiday in a ramshackled stately home with family and friends having a masked cocktail party, singalong Sound of Music, a (random) Zorba the Greek night and…..and Egg Hunt amongst other things.
