Meet aKnotofstitches at Worthing Charmandean This Sunday

EventsNo commentsNovember 30, 2021FTFadmin
Today we look forward to catching up with Fairy Tale Fair regular Tanya of aKnotofstitches who you can meet at this Sunday’s Christmas fair at Worthing Charmandean...
* Please introduce yourself:
I’m Tanya the maker,  creator and designer behind aKnotofstitches. I love all textiles, but my first love goes to crochet, as I love its versatility. It gives you the option to create flat or 3d, monochrome or multi coloured, big or small, simple or intricate and textured.

* How would you describe your style and your creations:

I would describe my style as colourful, bright, contemporary and fun.
I believe colour and especially through textiles, its the best way to make a room feel more homely and cohesive and ultimately the easiest way of changing or updating the look and feel of your home, which is why i chose to specialise in home accessories.

* What do you enjoy the most about your work

I find crochet relaxing, so it’s a perfect remedy to unwind after a day at work. My favourite aspect of my work is putting together different colour combinations,  which is why I enjoy creating my hanging rainbows , as I get to experiment with different colourways.

* What can we expect to find on your stall at So this is Christmas on Sunday 5th December at Worthing Charmandean and are you looking forward to taking part

On my stall I will have available, homewares which include baskets and wallhangings. Rainbow products including hanging decorations and mini cushions, plus fun and quirky makes like reusable gift wrap bows and pocket hug love tokens. I will also be show casing my brand new star decorations.
I am thoroughly looking forward to participating at that fair, as I have only ever been a stall assistant before, so I’m very proud to my hosting my own stall, and at a live fair for the first time in a long while.

* Do you have a best seller:

My favourite make, and my best seller are my rainbows. These can be custom made to your own colours, or I have a selection pre made of both traditional and contemporary colours

* Do you have any ambitions for the future:

My plans for the future are to participate in more in-person craft fairs, as you cant beat the personal interaction with customers and the live atmosphere.
I also look forward to releasing more products and experimenting with combining different crafts together.

* Do you have a motto or inspirational quote:

“Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

– William Morris

* Describe your Christmas in 3 words:

Cosy, games and fulfilling
