Say Hello to… Spells & Spindles

craftNo commentsMarch 3, 2018FTFadmin

Please introduce yourself and your brand….

I’m Talia, and My business is Spells & Spindles textile art. I live in Southampton where I work from home surrounded by my family and pets.

How would you describe your style and your creations?

I make free motion embroiderey  textile art, sometimes it’s embellished  and finished by hand .  My creations are contemporary, bright, colourful and quirky. Many have a very naive style.  They easily lend themselves to modern homes and children’s decor.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Just simply doing what I love. I have a note book bursting at the seams with ideas of things I want to make when that I add to daily – there’s so many ideas and they’re never ending so I doubt I’ll ever make them all.

What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special in aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17th March? And are you looking forward to taking part?

I am really excited to be taking part , this is a new venture for me so I’m looking forward to meeting other traders and customers. I will be selling greeting cards, cushions, hanging decorations, framed pieces – and other small items . I’m hoping there will be something there of interest for everyone.

Do you have a best seller?

My greeting cards are always popular because they are a unique, hand made piece of art at a very affordable price.

Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?

I am focusing on growing my business at the moment, getting my name out there, networking and building solid foundations.

Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?

Have the end in mind and every day make sure you’re working towards it.

What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?

I adore the colours of Easter more than any other season and it’s so easy to make everything beautiful so I enjoy decorating my house in all the lovely pastel colours. The trees are full of blossom so even the streets are decorated. I find it very inspiring – and all the food of course!

How can we find out more about you?
