Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hello, I’m Louisa. I’m the owner and creator of small Brighton based business Hey Kitsch Kitty. I handmake cute polymer clay and felt jewellery and adorable accessories. Inspired by all things Kitsch, retro and colourful.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Cute, Colourful, Kitsch and playful jewellery. I sculpt all of the polymer clay jewellery by hand so every piece is extra special and unique. I love attention to detail and try to put as much into my jewellery as I can. I think it’s the small touches that make something special.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I really enjoy designing new pieces. Seeing my sketches and scribbles turn into the final product. I do love a good making session, I like seeing how each piece will turn out. Sometimes I like to get out my clay and tools and just see what happens. I’ve designed some of my favourite items from just experimenting and playing around.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Brighton this Spring? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’m super excited to be at another Fairy Tale Fair. I had so much fun at the last one I took part in at Christmas. You can expect to see some of my best sellers such as my Sugar Skull necklace, giant party ring cushions and kitty hoods. I will have a mix of products on my stall, lots of perfect gift ideas and easter treats!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I have plans for some new exciting products. A few are completely different and will be a step in a different direction for Hey Kitsch Kitty! I also want to do more craft fairs and I’m toying with the idea of starting a blog!
Describe what Easter is to you in 10 words or less
Family time, fun walks, spring flowers and easter egg hunts.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
I don’t have a motto, but I do believe you should treat people as you would wish to be treated. Basically I think we should all be kind to each other. It definitely makes the world a better place.
