Hi all!
I’m Scott Nellis and welcome to my alter-ego Manic Minotaur!
I am mega-excited to be taking part in the Fairy Tale Fair at Brighton Racecourse.
I produce brightly coloured cards, badges, prints and mirrors.
Previously I have been known for creating some super-dark artwork but decided to do something at the other end of the scale under the influence of Brighton life with eye-bashing colour.
As much as I love drawing demonic faces with black ink (and I sincerely do), there’s a whole different world to enjoy when splashing around in clouds and rainbows of pink and blue!
Everything I produce is hand drawn before scanning and printing. Some things are coloured with felt tips, some digitally. I love to work both traditionally and futuristically!
I’ve been drawing and creating pretty much all of my life and graduated form the University of Brighton in 2009 with a BA in Illustration. Having dipped my toes into the world of freelance illustration I decided to launch Manic Minotaur in February of this year.
Along with awesome unicorn cards, psychedelic Star Wars artwork and all the other wonderful and weird creations I have on display I will also have some alternative Christmas cards for sale.
I am really looking forward to 2015 and Manic Minotaur’s second year. There’s lots more mind-bending designs and products on their way!
