We’re pleased to welcome back the colourful Molly Coddle Childrenswear to our Easter fair on Sunday 14th April at Worthing Charmandean. Find out more…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
My name is Tracey Edwards and I design and create the Molly Coddle Childrenswear range, I sell online and offline and attend lots of amazing events around Sussex.
The company launched in 2010 and I have learned so much and thoroughly enjoy the diverse demands needed to run a small business, which can include craft, technology, social media and customer service skills.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I create handmade and embellish children’s clothing, using gorgeous quirky fabrics, designed for comfort and longevity. My aim is to try to create outfits that are inspired by traditional silhouettes but using quirky interesting prints and features. The dinosaur dress and sweatshirts are real customer favourites, alligator and peacock feathers also stay on the best seller list. Upcycling is becoming more popular and I produce a range of unique denim creations and these are very popular.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
We are based on the sunny Sussex coast … literally facing the sea … a perfect location to inspire and develop ideas and creations … there are never enough hours in the day. Seeing the daily sunrise and sunset over the seascape, is quite magical.
I love meeting new parents and seeing their children grow and thrive as they return to buy the new seasons outfits.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special in aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Sunday 14th April? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I am very excited to announce that the event will be the premier showing of my new boys and unisex romper outfits.
They are available in aged 12 months up to 4 years and are absolutely gorgeous, Red London Buses, sailing boats, retro robots and stripes are amongst the colourful prints.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
“There is ALWAYS a solution”!
I think you have to be quite tenacious and strong willed in this world.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
Spending lots of time with my eight year old in the Easter holidays, she is developing into an amazing assistant to the business.
