Today we are pleased to welcome Oddly Wild. They joined us for the first time a couple of weeks ago at our Patcham fair and we can’t wait to welcome them back this Sunday 3rd December at Worthing Charmandean.
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
We are a Brighton-based wife and husband team, Sarah and Mark. We set up Oddly Wild 3 months ago, as a joint venture combining our 2 passions – graphic design and craft. With fun at its heart, and inspired by our own imaginations, a series of cute, whimsical characters were born. A group of animal friends, each with their own personalities, and hailing from the beautiful Isles of Oddly.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
We have created a range of beautiful, design-led, vintage inspired products for the modern family. Our collections are charming, playful, fun and handmade. They would make wonderful additions to any nursery, kids bedroom or playroom. Perfect for the young… and the young at heart!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
One of the things we have loved about starting our own business is that this is a joint venture, something we can work on together and a place we can share out creativity. But the best thing is seeing the reaction we get when people see out products for the first time. It makes everything worthwhile.
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas in aid of St Barnabas on Sunday 3rd December? And are you looking forward to taking part?
We can’t wait to be part of the festivities at the Charmandean Centre and we are looking forward to meeting the Christmas shoppers and craft sellers alike. On our stall, we will be selling our handmade character clocks, alongside out DIY sewing kits, cute animal decorations and Christmas cards.
Do you have a best seller?
Everyone we speak to has a different favourite character. They all have their own unique personalities. However, Leonard the Lion and Basil the Beaver have been particularly big hits at the crafts fairs we have taken part in recently.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
Having come so far, in such a short amount of time, we are super excited about the future. We are already busy beavering away (sorry Basil) developing ideas, and will be introducing some new characters to the Isles of Oddly in 2018.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
When nothing goes right… go left.
Describe your Christmas in 3 words…
Family, Food, Fun
