Say Hello to… Buttons Galore and Sew Much More

craftNo commentsNovember 27, 2016Claire

Today we welcome Lisa of Buttons Galore and Sew Much More for the first time. She will be joining us this Sunday at Worthing Charmandean.

Please introduce yourself and your brand….

Hi, My name is Lisa and I am totally addicted to buttons!!
I am the owner of Buttons Galore and Sew Much More!
As the name suggests I make things with buttons; for example, I make gorgeous button wreaths for all festivals and seasons, decorate picture frames, button ear rings and cufflinks, I design and create stunning button wedding bouquets and have a variety of decorations to name just a few things! I have something to suit everyone! However, I am not limited to creating unique pieces whilst only using buttons. I also make beautiful cake stands using vintage plates. I make quirky cake stands with old vinyl records. I like to upcycle cups, saucers, wine glasses, books to create new and decorative creations. I am a huge fan of all things decoupage and have a variety of beautifully decorated watering cans that are intended for use as vases.

How would you describe your style and your creations?

I would describe my style as quirky, funky, pretty and unique!

Do you make bespoke items?

I fully encourage bespoke items as then I am able to coordinate buttons or decoupage to match my client`s choice. Everybody is different and we all like different things. I try to be as different and unique as possible and to tailor my pieces to match the individuality of my clients. In particular, button bouquets size and colours are on request.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I love to see my creations unfold and come to life infront of my eyes as I create them. Every piece is individual and unique. I especially love to make button bouquets for weddings as I think they are incredibly pretty and love to match colours to my brides.

What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas at The Charmandean Worthing on Sunday 4th December? And are you looking forward to taking part?

I am really looking forward to being part of the event at the Charmandean Centre. It promises to be a really exciting and festive event with a huge variety of stalls and crafts. I shall be bringing lots of Christmas themed button bouquets, lots of photo frames, vases, and vintage plate cake stands. There will also be some interesting button jewellery pieces and a real eclectic mix of button goodies!

Do you have a best seller?

My best sellers are my button wreaths and photo frames. my vintage plate cake stands sell like hot cakes! closely followed by my decoupage vases.

Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?

Live, Laugh, Craft!!

What part of Christmas do you enjoy the most?

I love so much of the magic of Christmas! I love the smells and tastes of the spicy mince pies and mulled wine! I love to sit by a cosy fire with a hot chocolate topped with gooey marshmallows! I love to make gifts for my friends and family! I especially love choosing gifts for my 3 wonderful daughters. I LOVE opening the stockings in bed! We all sit as a family in mine and my husband`s bed and we take it in turns to see what Father Christmas has brought us!! That is the perfect start to our Christmas day…of course usually with a bottle of something bubbly on the go for hubby and I!! I love singing carols whilst looking at our beautiful tree ( real of course), and I love all the food!! As for what do I love best??? I guess it has to be the feeling of love and family traditions!
