Say Hello to… Mu Kivi

craftNo commentsNovember 23, 2018FTFadmin

Today we meet Mu Kivi for the first time who we can’t wait to welcome to Worthing Charmandean at our So This is Christmas fair on Sunday 2nd December. Find out more…

Please introduce yourself and your brand….

Hello 🙂 I’m Rozzi and I live in Brighton with my husband Mr Fox and furbae Archie. I’m the creator of the brand Mu Kivi, selling eco-friendly and contemporary homeware and gifts.

How would you describe your style and your creations?

I love Scandinavian style but I don’t think I could ever conform to just one look. I love mixing a bit of modern scandi style with more eclectic and vintage looks. I think this is why my designs have turned out the way they have. I love that crochet is a traditional skill practised for centuries but how, with the right materials and colours, it can be brought straight into the 21st century.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I find the physical act of crocheting pretty therapeutic and I really enjoy coming up with new designs and ideas…however I usually get a bit carried away with this and have to focus on one thing to start first!

What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas in aid of St Barnabas on Sunday 2nd December? And are you looking forward to taking part?

I’m absolutely looking forward to it! Dusting off my Christmas jumper and getting into the Christmas spirit! Although as it’s only my second craft fair I can feel a few nerves trying to sneak up on me. I’ll be showing a selection of my storage baskets, organisers and plant hangers along with some special bits just for Christmas – if you love a pom pom I might just have the perfect thing for you!

Do you have a best seller?

Not yet as I really haven’t been trading for very long. Mu Kivi is still a fledgling business at the mo but i’m hoping that by taking part in fairs such as this I’ll get more insight into how to move forward and develop it.

Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?

I’m really interested in trying to find/develop more products with eco-friendly and ethical backgrounds and I also have a strong interest in illustration and would love to include some products that could incorporate this.

Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?

Courage above fear. It’s so easy to never do anything for the fear of it not working or going to plan. But nothing will ever happen if you don’t try so i’m trying my hardest to channel my fear into courage and get doing!

Describe your Christmas in 3 words…

Never enough sparkles!

How can we find out more about you?
