Say Hello to… Crowns From Ashes

Brighton, craft, Fairy Tale, Fashion, JewelleryNo commentsNovember 20, 2014FTFadmin

Please introduce yourself and your brand…..

My name is Natalie Millerchip, creator of Crowns from Ashes

Tell us a bit about your creations and how you make them….

My designs are handmade from recycled plastic bags, crisp packets, comics and more. My techniques involve origami for paper based designs and for the plastic ones, crochet and a lot of melting.

How long have you been making your creations?

About 6 years but I have only been trading as a business in last two years.

Do you have a best seller or most popular item?

At the moment it’s my paper necklaces. I think they are great fun and particularly have character once I stick googly eyes on them.

What do you enjoy most about your craft/ work?

That every design I produce is completely different from the last. I like the unpredictability of it.

Will you be selling some festive themed creations at The Fairy Tale Fair?

Not specifically festive but some of my flower brooches are in red and green Christmas colours.

What are your plans or ambitions for the future, or have you already achieved them?

To sell more widely in shops throughout the UK and other fairs.

Describe what Christmas means to you in 5 words or less!:

Joyful,

Holy,

Giving,

Receiving,

Love.
