Hi, I’m Sarah and I run my little business : ‘Sarah Lovell Art’. There you will find a collection of cards, prints , colouring books, sewn creations and bike and scooter ribbons. All drawn, painted and made by me and inspired by the magical and fantastical.
Tell us a bit about your creations and how you make them….
I have loved to draw ever since I can remember. My illustrations are all hand painted, normally at my kitchen table , and sometimes I am accompanied by my 5 year old daughter as I paint! They feature characters from my imagination, who are inspired by nature and the magic all around us. I still adore losing myself in my art, it never feels like a chore, and am thrilled that now I can run a business where people want to buy my creations and it is hanging on walls all over the world!
How long have you been making your creations?
I have been running ‘Sarah Lovell Art’ for about 2 years now, and it has flown by!
Do you have a best seller or most popular item?
Yes, my prints, especially ‘Campfire’ featuring ‘Samuel Fox’, ‘Claudia Rabbit’ and ‘Henry Hedgehog’ is a very popular one.
What do you enjoy most about your craft/ work?
My love for drawing has never left, and I am so pleased that people want to buy my art for their homes and their loved ones. Selling my products at a fair or getting a new order never ceases to be very exciting.
Will you be selling some festive themed creations at The Fairy Tale Fair?
Yes, I will have my selection of Christmas cards. My prints and colouring books also make great gifts.
What are your plans or ambitions for the future, or have you already achieved them?
My plan is to carry on drawing and painting. I want to add to my collection of colouring books to include animals from all over the world, and I would love to illustrate a children’s book one day.
