Today we say hello to Pagette and her beautiful silver jewellery. Pagette will be running a jewellery workshop for us which is suitable for all ages and means you can leave with a unique piece of jewellery handmade by yourself- which make great Christmas gifts or to keep if you decide it’s too nice to give away! “Vintage lace is one of my favourites! Women would spend so much time and care to create these beautiful works of art, which today are discarded. So I like to find old well loved treasures and breathe a new life into them….”- Pagette
Tell us a bit about you and what you do/ make….
Jewellery and textiles are my passion and I have a great love for the treasures of the past.
I incorporate vintage jewels & beads into my jewellery. I really like to create one-off pieces, items of jewellery that a woman can feel special wearing. Knowing that it is not a mass-produced piece of jewellery, but as unique as the wearer!
Vintage lace is one of my favourites! Women would spend so much time and care to create these beautiful works of art, which today are discarded. So I like to find old well loved treasures and breathe a new life into them.
Somehow I manage to fit this into my mad schedule as a mom to two little boys, and business partner with my husband. The days are just not long enough!!!
How would you describe your style?
Romantic & Vintage with a touch of shabby chic
How long have you been making your craft items?
I have been crafting and making for as long as I can remember!
My sister and I began sewing on my grandmother’s old pedal singer when I was 5. Clothes for fairies at the bottom of the garden were our favourite sewing projects.
My jewellery making began at around the same age. When I started selling earrings to school friends, I realised how much I enjoyed seeing my work being used and worn. It still is the best bit!
Do you have a best seller? If so what is it?
My Jewellery is the best seller although the lace bags are also very popular.
What do you enjoy most about your craft?
When someone gets as much pleasure out of wearing my work as I did making it.
Also when an idea comes together and works!
Do you take part in other craft events (fairs, open houses, markets etc…)?
As well as selling on etsy and other fairs, my favourite is the Forest Row Village Market. A wonderful food and craft market in East Sussex.
You will be providing a workshop for The Fairy Tale Fair- what will your workshop involve?
Yes I will be running a jewellery-making workshop for adults and kids. It is fun & easy plus you will leave with a lovely item of jewellery. The workshop is a drop-in format so you came come along at any point and make a necklace, bracket or earrings.
What are your plans/ ambitions for the future? Or have you already achieved them?
To over come my reluctance to use social media / Internet marketing and all the other modern technology. It scares me a bit! – I think I am a little too old school at heart.
