Hi, I’m Shaloam and I’m the creator of Shaloah Skincare which is a natural skincare brand based in Brighton. It is a range of luxury handmade natural skincare products formulated using the finest natural plant oils, extracts, herbs and pure essential oils. I believe we need to return to our roots and work in harmony with nature which is why all of my products contain only ingredients that are sustainable, ethical and derived from nature.

They contain no parabens, no chemicals, no synthetic fragrances – perfect for sensitive skin.

My best selling product is the Olive Squalane and Vitamin E Anti-Wrinkle Serum which also contains argan oil, evening primrose oil, rosehip oil and frankincense. Squalane is one of the hottest ingredients in natural skin care at the moment. It’s one of those things that occurs naturally in our bodies but levels decline with age. When applied to the skin, it penetrates deeply to promote cell regeneration and reduce the signs of ageing. It also prevents UV damage, reduces blemishes and even at 100% concentration is non-irritant to skin. My customers love it!

Also a best seller is the Calendula & Borage Soothe & Repair Cream specially formulated for dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. I am most fond of this product because this is how my journey into making natural skincare products all began.

It all started from my desperate search for an eczema cream which was effective and yet gentle enough to use on my baby who suffered terribly with eczema. Discovering that many products on the market either didn’t work, were too expensive or contained harmful chemicals, I decided to create my own! It was then I began to discover the healing power of plants and the wonder of nature. Full of optimism and hope and equipped with a saucepan and a handful of simple ingredients I began cooking up concoctions in my kitchen. After many attempts and hundreds of experiments I developed and perfected an all natural eczema cream gentle enough to use on my baby.

Following the success of this cream I then went on to develop a whole product range of natural moisturisers, bath & body oils, serums, balms & soaps. I currently do various craft fairs in and around Brighton and have an online store as well as selling on Etsy. I also stock my products at ‘Brighton Naturally’ which is one of the permanent units at the Brighton Open Market.
