Today we welcome Jade of The Neon Loop who we look forward to joining us on Sunday 6th December. Read on to find out about their hand crafted creations…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
My name is Jade and I am the owner and creator of The Neon Loop. It’s my happy place where I create beautifully hand crafted interior accessories and gift items. I have an ever expanding range of items where no two things are exactly the same.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Simple, chic, with a twist of modernity and a sprinkling of dazzling adornment.
I like to think The Neon Loop has something for everyone, can fit into anyone’s life, any time, any season.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
For me design and creating is like my therapy, I’m a Creative Director for a Graphic Design agency by day and a Neon Looper by night (and weekends). The Neon Loop this time last year and quickly turned into something so much more through the support of my wonderful family, friends and my fabulous husband.
I just really enjoy experimenting; I love working with new materials, be it soft and luxurious or raw and textured, and I really love working with crochet. It’s so satisfying that when people see an element of crochet added to one of my pieces they say ‘That’s really cool, I’ve always associated crochet with toilet roll holders…!’
What can we expect to find on your stall at So This is Christmas Worthing on December 6th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’ll have a little selection of everything from cushions using hand printed fabrics and raw linens, French vintage torchon cushions, gilded vases and candle holders, ceramic tile coasters and some cute gifts for little ones.
I’m really excited to be a part of ‘So This is Christmas’ this year, as I’m a newbie to the makery world this will be my second ever fair. I’m looking forward to meeting all of the other stallholders too and maybe seeing if there are any special Christmas gifts I can find!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I have a couple of online shops through Etsy and my own website but I’d love to stock my items in local shops and stockists, it’s great for customers to be able to see the physical pieces before they buy them and perhaps one day open The Neon Loop boutique.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
‘Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons’
