Today we meet a new stall holder – Laura of Bright ‘n Comfy. We can’t wait to welcome her and her colourful children’s clothes to our Worthing Easter fair on Sunday 9th April. Find out more about her…
Hi! I’m Laura and I own/run Bright ‘n Comfy. The clothing I make was born of a frustration at the offerings of the high street. I have two small girls and whilst the youngest doesn’t really care, the eldest doesn’t like pink or frilly, or dresses, so we were limited with choices. I started making her some bright outfits and it went from there. So I set up Bright ‘n Comfy, using lovely soft jersey so there is comfort in every movement.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I LOVE colour! (It actually is as simple as that!)
The clothes I create are bright and bold and hard wearing. They are designed with active children in mind, but are equally perfect for those lazy days spent lounging.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
It gives me the greatest pleasure to see my clothes ‘out in the wild’, they look at their best when they are being loved by a small child, and it brightens my day every time!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Worthing Charmandean on April 9th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I will be stood at the stall covered in all the colours of the rainbow! I am very much looking forward to the event, I love the buzz of a fair, and speaking to my customers in person allows me to give them the very best of my service. It also means that customers can see and feel in person the explosion of colour that I intend to provide!
Do you have a best seller?
My hoodies have been very popular since I started, and I can see why. Kids love a hood and a pocket, and their grown ups love the colours and durability.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I hope to slowly expand the ranges I can offer, and eventually I would like to be able to stock a small shop or stall on a permanent basis. At the moment, I am focusing on offering quality clothing that you can’t find anywhere else.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
The child in me says ‘THE CHOCOLATE’! The adult in me says ‘the four day weekend’ and the parent in me says ‘watching the kids hunt for eggs in the garden’.
How can we find out more about you?
