Today we welcome back a Fairy Tale Fair and well loved regular Claire of Incey Wincey Studio who will join us this Sunday 3rd April at Worthing Charmandean…
Hello, I’m Claire the designer, maker, creator and owner of Incey Wincey Studio, a textile and print studio based here in Worthing.
My work is inspired by nature, simplicity and colour – these are all reflected in my botanical drawings which I then screen print and also in my stitched wool felt and Liberty fabric textiles.
I love the variety in my day to day, drawing, screen printing, stitching and wrapping orders. There is nothing like meeting people face to face and seeing your response to my work is a privilege and a joy! I am really looking forward to seeing you all again.
At The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special on Sunday 3rd April I will have my “A Year of Birth Flowers” collection, which includes hand printed cards, prints and lavender bags. Alongside these I will have my Wool Felt and Liberty Fabric Brooches and cases and my Liberty hair accessories and reusable face wipes.
Do I have a best seller? It really does vary – I have those that love my drawings, Liberty fabric fans, the colour of the wool felt that I choose and am often fortunate that many love it all, so am very thankful. Yesterday, I had two people go out of their way to say how wonderful my Liberty and Bamboo Face Wipes are, which was lovely to hear.
I have just launched my Snowdrop Cushion, screen printed and stitched by me. I plan to introduce more of these in the future but have to decide which of my drawings will be next!
Everything I do relates back to a couple of things, “Incey Wincey Studio – made on a small scale, in a small space, with a big heart” and something my mum has always said, “Smile and the world smiles with you”! I believe that if you love what you do, that shines through and makes others feel happy too.
Easter to me means family, food and flowers!
