Today we welcome Patrick Edgeley for the first time who you can meet at our Worthing Charmandean Easter fair on Saturday 17th March. Find out more about him…
Please introduce yourself and your brand. How would you describe your style and your creations?
I’m Patrick Edgeley and I create limited edition screen prints that employ bold, hand drawn text and imagery. Americana, signs, packaging and pop culture are a great influence in my work.
A love for all things typographical can be seen through out the screen prints, something that stems from my previous career as a graphic designer. My screen prints are produced in short, limited edition runs.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love the whole printing process, from mixing the colours to laying each colour down on paper. The satisfaction of seeing your print come alive with each colour is hard to beat for me. The icing on the cake is when I see people enjoying looking at the piece I’ve created.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special in aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17th March? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I will have a whole array of different hand printed products for sale on my stall that feature elements of my larger prints. From wrapping paper, hand printed cards and note books to small and large 35 colour screen prints.
Really looking forward to showing my work at the Fairy Tail Easter special and meeting people.
Do you have a best seller?
I think the Collections Series sell well, often featuring long forgotten products such as vintage match boxes or ice lollies, all these can be found on my website or at the various shows I take part in.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I am currently in the middle of creating a series 3D boxes. Screen printing will be used to create CMYK images and found objects will be incorporated into the design. Each piece will be unique and are limited edition in a short run.
As with most of my designs bold colours, type and retro graphics will feature heavily in each piece of work.
How can we find out more about you?
You Can find out about me my work and events I’m taking part in via my website www.antigraphic.biz and you can follow me on Instagram via patrickedgeley
