We’re pleased to welcome back Lisa, who will join us at Worthing Charmandean this Saturday 17th March! We can’t wait to welcome her back, find out more…
Please introduce yourself and your brand.
Hello, I am Lisa and I have been drawing pictures of Brighton and surrounding areas for the past 25 years.
I make a living selling greetings cards and drawing house portraits…I also take commissions, and am the illustrator for Brighton Pride this year!
How would you describe your style and your creations?
People often say ‘Where’s Wally?’ when they see my cards, as they feature busy crowd scenes, set against recognisable landmarks.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Like most artists, I enjoy walking around soaking everything up, then retreating to my little bolt hole to create something wonderful from what I’ve seen!
What can you expect to find on your stall at the Fairy Tale Fair Easter special in Aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17thMarch? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I will have lots of greetings cards on special offer, some giclee prints and I shall also be promoting my house portraits.
I am looking forward to taking part as I will be showcasing a new picture that have made of Worthing Pier, which I will be selling as a greetings card and as a print.
Do you have best seller?
Yes, my pictures of the West Pier at sunset and Brighton Pier are by far the most popular cards that I sell.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I think it’s good to have a goal and a a dream.
My goal for this year is to get my cards on sale in London, and my dream is for someone to commission me to draw New York and Paris…!
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
If you can dream it, you can do it – Walt Disney
What part of easter do you enjoy the most?
Easter Egg hunts! There’s always a good one up at Devils Dyke
