Today we have a special interview with singer & song writer Bryony Brooke, who will be attending our fair which we are very excited about! She will be performing in the cafe area from around 11am, so make sure you don’t miss her! Find out more about her below…
Tell us a bit about yourself?
My musical career began at a fairly young age when I played violin solos and orchestral movements at both my primary and secondary schools. I achieved my grade 5 music (and theory) at the age of 11 and then when I was 12, I joined the South Downs Youth Orchestra…and the East Sussex Chamber Orchestra at 13. I played violin at lots of social events and private engagements outside of the orchestras until I gave up after reaching level 8. I still have my old instrument, and who knows…I might take it up again one day!
How long have you been singing/ performing?
I took to playing guitar; initially as a form of relaxation during the challenging months leading up to my GCSE’s. At the same time I began singing cover songs. Now nearly 3 years later, I love writing my own music and playing at a parties, weddings, pubs, restaurants and of course wedding fairs!…and with friends!
What do you enjoy most about performing?
I love performing either my own music or covers with other people
Recently I have enjoyed having laughs and jokes up on stage with my new gigging partner
Have you had a favorite performance so far?
Yes- Ringles Cross Uckfield for Valentines Day
What are your plans and ambitions for the future?
Working on a CD which should hopefully be finiMyd April and then hoping to take my music on further
Are you looking forward to attending The Fairy Tale Fair?
Yeah should be a lovely atmosphere and be will be good fun
