Today we’re really excited to introduce Cat in a Flat who are one of our lovely sponsors of our November 26th Brighton Open Market Christmas Craft Fair. We’re really excited because we love cats and we love the concept of Cat in a Flat. We speak to founders Julie & Kathrin about their journey so far…
How did the idea of Cat in Flat form? And has the journey of building the business been an experience so far?
It all started with Yuki, the big, black moggy
Julie always had challenges when it came to finding a cat sitter. Friends and neighbours were too intimidated to drop in and look after her big black moggy, Yuki, the feisty ‘super-male’.
So Julie joined forces with her workplace colleague Kathrin and the concept for Cat in a Flat was born.
What followed was months of research, planning, marketing, and of course cat pictures. Lots of cat pictures.
Cat in a Flat has been running for just over 3 years now, and as with most young fledgling companies, it’s come with many challenges and exciting times along the way.
“We love our cat loving community, everyone who signs up is so friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for their new furry friends”
We’re really looking forward to having you as sponsors of The Fairy Tale Fair this Christmas. What made you choose us and are you looking forward to the fair?
The Fairy Tale Fair is a great community event and we’re really excited to be part of it, having creative backgrounds ourselves, we love supporting local designers and makers.
We can’t wait to see the lovely mix of high quality, crafty creations and not to mention the promise of all the yummy food stalls!
We’ll be sharing photos of all the lovely ‘cat related’ creations we find during the day, so be sure to follow us on Instagram for your daily kitty fix =^.^=
