Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hello! I’m Jo from Art Star. I create colourful craft kits and paper decorations to add a burst of colour and joy to your home. I’m also a craft, pattern and colour addict on a mission to help people to enjoy all the benefits of creative play!
How would you describe your style and your products?
I would start with colourful, joyful and fun! And then add that importantly my products are also ethical and charitable. I use leftover paper in my kits where I can and I also donate loads of craft packs to art charities and kids’ art clubs.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I just love getting into the studio with paper, scissors, marker pens and glue and playing around with ideas to find different things to make with my kits. And I love inspiring people to go and have a go themselves and see what they can come up with!
Do you have a best seller or favourite to make?
Definitely the Hack Packs at the moment. They are a kind of freestyle craft kit and I’m addicted to the possibilities – there is always something new to create, and I love that experimental aspect of them. Also I’m super proud of the fact that they are made from leftover paper.
What are your plans or ambitions for the future?
I want to do loads more tutorials and videos to show people all the fun stuff you can make with my kits. I’m also looking forward to doing more real life markets and workshops! Also by the time this comes out I should have launched my very celebratory new kit for the summer – I can’t wait for that!
