Today we catch up with Victoria of Viksilver, a regular at our online fairs we’re now pleased to be able to welcome her in person for the first time on Sunday 5th December at Worthing Charmandean.
Hi, I am Victoria from Viksilver and I make sterling silver and enamel jewellery and castle christening boxes from my studio in Kent. I started making stuff because I kept having ideas for jewellery based on everyday life which resulted in poached egg rings, book cufflinks and an oast house. Now I tend to concentrate on adjustable rings in order to accommodate arthritic fingers, weight change and just being able to buy presents. I am in love with cold enamel so I make lots of colourful adjustable rings which are great for everyday wear and parties. And you can commission your own colours.
I love coming up with new ideas and colour schemes but I also really enjoy the collaboration of a commission.
I am looking forward to my first real time fair for a long time where I can chat to my customers and help them find what they are really looking for. And I have lots of new colour mixes plus my gardening pendants, cup of tea/ espresso cufflinks and my new kitchen utensils necklace. So far my bestsellers are definitely my enamel rings and my book cufflinks.
I also made myself one with jewellery tools and treated my mum to an orange enamel flower necklace for Christmas. I am looking forward to having a more normal this year, winding down, drinking wine and eating cheese.
And maybe having some cunning ideas for my jewellery next year.
I hope to see you at the So This is Christmas fair in Charmandean, Worthing on Sunday 5th December.
