Today we welcome back MegaLilyDesign, who will once again join us at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17th March. Find out more about her jewellery…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi, I’m Alex and I am the designer and maker of the original resin and paper designs at MegaLilyDesign.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
The style of MegaLilyDesign is evolving all the time, but is firmly rooted in colour and nature. I love the bright and sometimes surprisingly bold colours found in the natural world and try to use these in my flower, butterfly and dragonfly designs. The designs are all hand drawn at A4 size then shrunk down before being used in pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings. This year I have included gold and silver leaf to my designs as well as colouring my resin which has added a new dimension to my jewellery making.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love the process of making each piece, and the anticipation of how each new design will turn out in the finished piece of jewellery. It’s not always stress free, but it’s always exciting!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special in aid of St Barnabas at Worthing Charmandean on Saturday 17th March? And are you looking forward to taking part?
Of course, I am very much looking forward to taking part, it’s a great Fair to take part in. I love the energy and variety of entertainment and stalls at every Fairy Tale Fair – and it’s all in aid of St Barnabas so what could be better!
To this Fair, I’ll be bringing along my new range of 2018 jewellery as well as some old favourite designs. There will be everything from rings to statement pendants as well as a few cards and framed butterflies, also using my hand drawn designs.
Do you have a best seller?
Last year I would have to say that my Snowdrops design was my best seller, so I know I won’t be able to resist bringing along a couple of pieces featuring this design.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
“Life goes by fast. Enjoy it. Calm down. It’s all funny.” – Joan Rivers.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
Chocolate I’m afraid!
